Northern Feed and Bean
Northern Feed and Bean has been serving bean growers and livestock feeders in northern Colorado with dependable service and top of the markets prices for over 50 years, beginning with its original feed mill and bean elevator in Gill, CO. In 1991, Northern expanded its dry bean operation, building a new state-of-the-art receiving and processing elevator located on Highway 85 at Lucerne, CO, where the main office is now located. Also in 1991, Northern purchased the Walker Elevator receiving station located southwest of Johnstown, CO, to better serve the bean growers in that area. In 1994 Northern started marketing pinto beans for Roggen Farmer’s Elevator and in 1996 expanded that partnership with a joint purchase of the Roggen-Northern-Farmland Elevator in Brush, CO, for the receiving of wheat, corn, and pinto beans for growers in that location. In the year 2000, Northern Feed and Bean established a receiving station in Torrington, WY, to serve bean growers there. To date, Northern serves over 350 bean growers in Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska.

Northern Feed and Bean’s goal is not only to provide area bean growers with top of the market supplies, but also to offer the most dependable and personal service which continues long after harvest.

Northern Feed and Bean ships its pinto beans under the Frontier Label. This label has long been satisfying produce customers, grocery stores, and other resellers throughout the United States and Mexico for over 50 years. Its fine reputation and pride for quality are considered “second to none” throughout the marketplace.
